Theory at Driving School BAAS
Before you can take your practical driving exam, you must first obtain a valid theory certificate. We advise you to complete your theory as early as possible during your driving training, preferably before or at the beginning of your driving lessons. This prevents you from being ready for the practical exam but still having to wait because your theory has not yet been completed.
There are several ways to learn the theory.
The most commonly used method is the online theory course of Driving School BAAS via the On My Way app. This course is easy, fast and efficient. You can study anywhere using your smartphone, tablet or computer, and learn completely at your own pace. The course can easily be ordered through the On My Way student app or directly through the driving school.
Another option is a one-day classroom theory course with Theorie Snel Halen. During this course you learn the theory in one day and can often take the exam shortly afterwards. Click the link to register.
You can also use the online theory course from Theorie Toppers. With this course you can practise theory questions and mock exams from home to prepare for the official theory exam.

Self Study
The first option to learn the theory is self-study. At Driving School BAAS you can choose from different study packages that help you learn the complete theory for the driving licence.
These packages may include a theory book, a question book with photos, and sometimes online practice exams that are similar to the official exams of the CBR.
With these study materials you can learn the theory at your own pace and prepare yourself well for the theory exam.

Learning Theory
The second option to learn the theory is the online theory course of Driving School BAAS via On My Way (Unlimited). This course is easy, fast and efficient. You can study anywhere using your smartphone, tablet or computer and learn completely at your own pace.
The course can easily be ordered through the On My Way student app or directly through the driving school. We strongly recommend this course.
Another option is a one-day classroom theory course with Theorie Snel Halen. During this course you will learn the theory in one day and you can often take the theory exam shortly afterwards.

There is also an online theory course from Theorie Toppers. Please note that this course is mainly in Dutch, but it does include English subtitles. Some international students still choose this option to practise theory questions and mock exams.

Theory Exam & Reservation
When you are ready to take your theory exam, you can reserve it yourself via the official website of the CBR: www.cbr.nl.
If taking the exam during the day is not possible for you, it is good to know that the CBR also offers theory exams in the evening and during the weekend.
Important to know:
Always reserve your theory exam through www.cbr.nl. When you search online for “theory exam”, you will often find websites that offer to reserve the exam for you for an extra fee. This means you usually pay more than necessary.
When you book your exam directly through the CBR website, you will usually pay less and you may also be able to take your exam sooner.

Bring the following with you when you go to your theory exam:
• A valid ID document (European ID card or passport)

Where can I book my theory exam?
It is best to book your theory exam at the CBR. Unfortunately, it happens all too often that a search is done via Google, you get various websites as search result. However, these websites earn money from your theory request and they do not have opportunities for a quick exam.
Driving school Baas always gives the advice to book your theory exam at the CBR, you avoid extra costs and can take the exam faster.
