Do you want to get your driving license and are you looking for a good and reliable driving school with a high success rate? Baas driving school is your match! Driving lessons for the B driving license (passenger car) can already be started if you are 16.5 years old, a theory certificate is not necessary. We recommend that you obtain the theory certificate as soon as possible when you follow our lessons so you have the certificate ready for your practical exam. It happens often that one of our students is ready to take the practical exam but is not allowed because the theory certificate has not yet been obtained yet.
We offer individual driving lessons or a package. The advantage of choosing a package is that you don’t have to pay after every lesson and you receive a discount on the total amount. The lessons are individual and always with the same instructor. You are assured of the instructors full attention. The duration of each drivinglesson is 90 minutes. The instructor does not take any unnecessary breaks.
Incase the instructor arrives late for your driving lesson, the time that you miss out, will be covered in the following class. The lessons are planned in consultation, it is possible to drive in the morning, during the day, in the evening and in the weekend. You can choose where you want to be picked up or dropped off. During your driving lessons we teach you to drive according to the standards of the CBR. If there are points that need extra attention, more practice will of course be given. You always drive the same non-smoking car and you will always be taught by the same driving instructor. The instructor keeps a lesson schedule for each student, so you can exactly see your progress.
At about two thirds of your training you can choose to take an Interim Test. During this test will be assessed is how far you are in your driving training. In addition, you can obtain an exemption for several special maneuvers on your real practical exam if you obtain a positive result for this part during your Interim Test.
The Interim Test is taken by an examiner from the CBR, the pass rate of the practical exam is 20% higher when taking the Interim Test.
NOTE: You must be in possession of your THEORY CERTIFICATE to be able to take the Intermediate Test.
The moment of taking the exam is determined in consultation with your instructor. It’s in both interests that your training and exam take place in a realistic time frame. The exam is requested as soon as possible, our instructors take into account the time between requesting the exam and the exam itself. At Rijschool Baas it is possible to take an exam within 18 working days after request. So if you unexpectedly fail your exam, you can try again in a short timeframe.
When you start with driving lessons, everything is new and it can occasionally go less smoothly. Don’t let this discourage you, it takes time to learn to drive because there is more to it than just handling the car. Operating a car, steering, accelerating, letting go of the gas, braking, switching gears and very important, watching the traffic around you. These are actions that we will leran you to do smoothly. Also an important point is anticipation: looking ahead and reacting to the traffic around you. During your driving training, your instructor will try to develop and expand your skills. This means: talking about traffic situations, about the behavior of you and other road users and your attitude towards other road users.
Driving school BAAS uses a lesson schedule. On this card, your progress is precisely tracked by your instructor. This way you can always see how you are performing and what still need to be worked on to achieve the exam level.
If you got your driver’s license a while ago, but you still don’t feel confident enough to drive on the road independently, or if you notice while driving that there are situations in which you don’t feel comfortable, you can contact Rijschool BOSS take a refresher course. You then determine in consultation with the instructor how many lessons you will take, and which parts must be covered. (For example, merging on the highway, parking or entering parking garages.)
A refresher course is also extremely suitable for people who have not driven for a while or are not used to the busy traffic in, for example, a new place of residence. With an instructor next to you to support and guide you where necessary, you will learn to get used to driving a car and dealing with all the other traffic on the road. Often a small number (3 to 5) repetition lessons is enough to get back on the road confidently.

Fear of failure is fear of not being able to meet the expectations that you have or that others have of you.
If you know that you suffer from performance anxiety, or suspect that performance anxiety will hinder you during your exam, it is important to discuss this with driving instructor so you can see what you can do about it and use all possibilities to reduce your fear.
The CBR recognizes the problem of performance anxiety as many people suffer from this fear. To offer a solution, they have created the ‘fear of failure exam’. This started as a pilot and it has yielded good results. Candidates who suffer from performance anxiety have a more realistic picture of the final result with this special exam, because the performance anxiety factor played a lesser role during the exam.
Anyone who thinks they qualify for this exam can use of this performance anxiety exam.
A performance anxiety exam takes longer than a normal exam, usually around 80 minutes. The special thing is that you start with an intake interview. In this conversation you discuss your fears with the examiner, this ensures that you can start the exam calmly. Please note that this exam is not easier than the regular exam. The exam is equally in difficultly, the differance is that time is given to the candidate to have the opportunity to take the exam with peace of mind.

Do you offer support for performance anxiety and traffic trauma?
Driving school Baas uses a method to help people who no longer dare to get into a car. Our instructors learned this method during additional training. The method used depends on the cause and is generally based on reliving the traumatic experience and processing it afterwards.
A method has also been developed to learn to control driving test anxiety. We listen to the student and will look for ways to overcome the fear and to control it. Inform your driving instructor about the traffic trauma or fear of driving.
Can I learn to drive environmentally conscious with you?
we learn you to drive more comfortably and safely while saving up to 15% fuel. Driving school Baas from Amsterdam is one of the driving schools that has become proficient in this modern driving style. The driving style is taught to all our students who take the cource category B (passenger car). With the intention to train a new generation of drivers who drive safer, more comfortably and more envirement-consciously.

Do you offer a 6 or 10 day driving course?
If you don’t have much time to follow a driving course, or if you just want to get your driver’s license quick, a 6 or 10 day driving course might be something for you! This fast, intensive training gives you the opportunity to get your driver’s license quick. Your exam is requested directly at the CBR. Before the start of your course, you know the time and date of your exam.
Discuss with your driving instructor when you want to take the driving lessons. Due to the duration of the driver training, you can start with practical lessons as soon as you have a theory certificate.

How many driving lessons needed?
You wonder how many driving lessons you need before you are ready to take a practical exam? This is different for every person.
On average, about twenty driving lessons are needed to master all the subjects. There are people who need more lessons, but of course there are also natural talents who can manage with fewer lessons.
When you start your driving lessons, your instructor can often estimate during the first or second driving lesson how many driving lessons you will need. Your instructor will give you some advice but if you don’t agree with the advice you can just say so and the instructor will adjust his lesson schedule to your wishes. However, we do recommend that you listen to the advice of your instructor because it is a shame to take a practical exam when it is already known in advance that there is only a small chance that you will pass. It is better to take some extra lessons and take the practical exam with a high chance of passing. An instructor from Driving School BAAS will never let you take more driving lessons than you actually need, because getting a driver’s license is already expensive enough.
