Motorcycle Lessons at Driving School BAAS 🏍️

At Driving School BAAS you can choose between individual motorcycle lessons or a lesson package. The advantage of a package is that you do not have to pay for each lesson separately and you benefit from an attractive package discount.

All motorcycle lessons are individual and given by a fixed instructor. This means full attention for you and maximum focus on your development as a motorcyclist.

Each lesson lasts 90 minutes, during which you actively ride the motorcycle. No coffee breaks or private errands are taken during your lesson time — your lesson is truly your lesson.

Motorcycle lessons start from a pre-arranged meeting location, where you meet your instructor and begin the lesson.

Lessons are planned in consultation, so you can ride in the morning, during the day, in the evening or in the weekend, depending on what fits your schedule best.

During your training you will learn to ride according to the standards and guidelines of the CBR. If certain skills need extra attention, we will focus on those areas during your lessons.

You will ride a well-maintained training motorcycle and normally have the same instructor throughout your training (unless you prefer otherwise). Your progress is also tracked in a lesson schedule, so you always know how far you are in your training and what is still needed to be ready for your motorcycle exam.

We work in a structured, honest and goal-oriented way — with one goal: helping you pass your motorcycle driving exam safely and confidently. 💪🏍️

Incase the instructor arrives late for your driving lesson, the time that you miss out, will be covered in the following class. The lessons are planned in consultation, it is possible to drive in the morning, during the day, in the evening and in the weekend. You can choose where you want to be picked up or dropped off.

How We Work at Driving School BAAS 🏍️

During your motorcycle lessons you will learn to ride according to the standards and guidelines of the CBR. This also includes several special manoeuvres that are required for the motorcycle exam. If certain parts require extra attention, we will of course practice those skills more extensively.

You will ride on the same training motorcycle during your lessons and normally have the same instructor throughout your training (unless you prefer otherwise). This ensures clear guidance and allows the instructor to closely monitor your progress.

For every student we keep a lesson progress schedule, which allows you to clearly see what you have already mastered and which parts still need attention before you are ready for your motorcycle exam.

During the training we work step by step towards the practical motorcycle exam at the CBR, so that you are well prepared and confident when the time comes to take your exam. 💪🏍️

Practical Motorcycle Exam at Driving School BAAS 🏍️

The moment to take your motorcycle exam is decided in consultation with your instructor. It is in both your interest and ours that your motorcycle training and exam take place within a realistic time frame.

The exam is requested as soon as possible. Our instructors take the waiting time between the exam request and the exam date into account.

At Driving School BAAS it is often possible to take your exam within approximately 18 working days after the request. If you unfortunately fail your exam, it is usually possible to try again quickly.

The motorcycle exam consists of two parts:

Vehicle control (special manoeuvres).
Traffic participation (riding in traffic).

For the first exam (vehicle control) you must have a valid motorcycle theory certificate or a driving licence B (car).

For the second exam (traffic participation) you must have obtained your motorcycle theory certificate before you can take the exam.

Refresher Course at Driving School BAAS 🏍️

Have you obtained your motorcycle licence some time ago but no longer feel completely confident on the road? Or do you notice situations while riding where you feel less comfortable?

In that case, you can follow a refresher course at Driving School BAAS.

Together with the instructor you decide how many lessons you need and which parts require extra attention. For example, merging onto the motorway or practising the special manoeuvres again.

A refresher course is also very suitable for riders who have not ridden for a longer period of time or who need to get used to busy traffic in a new environment.

With an instructor guiding and supporting you where necessary, you will gradually rebuild your confidence while riding a motorcycle and dealing with other traffic on the road.

In many cases 3 to 5 refresher lessons are already enough to help you ride safely and confidently again. 💪🏍️

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer support for performance anxiety and traffic trauma?

Driving school Baas uses a method to help people who no longer dare to get into a motorcycle. Our instructors learned this method during additional training. The method used depends on the cause and is generally based on reliving the traumatic experience and processing it afterwards.

A method has also been developed to learn to control driving test anxiety. We listen to the student and will look for ways to overcome the fear and to control it. Inform your driving instructor about the traffic trauma or fear of driving.

Do you offer a 6 or 10 day driving course?

If you don’t have much time to follow a driving course, or if you just want to get your driver’s license quick, a 6 or 10 day driving course might be something for you! This fast, intensive training gives you the opportunity to get your driver’s license quick. Your exam is requested directly at the CBR. Before the start of your course, you know the time and date of your exam.

Discuss with your driving instructor when you want to take the driving lessons. Due to the duration of the driver training, you can start with practical lessons as soon as you have a theory certificate.

I haven't ridden in a while, do you have a refresher course?

If you got your driver’s license a while ago, but you still don’t feel confident enough to go on the road independently, or if you notice while driving that there are situations in which you don’t feel comfortable, you can contact Driving School. BOSS take a refresher course. You then determine in consultation with the instructor how many lessons you are going to take, and which parts should be covered in any case. (For example, merging onto the motorway or entering parking garages.)

A refresher course is also extremely suitable for people who have not driven for a while or are not used to the busy traffic in, for example, a new place of residence. With an instructor next to you to support and guide you where necessary, you will learn to get used to driving a motorcycle and dealing with all other traffic on the road. Often a small number of refresher lessons is enough to get back on the road confidently.

How many driving lessons needed?

You wonder how many driving lessons you need before you are ready to take a practical exam? This is different for every person.

On average, about twenty driving lessons are needed to master all the subjects. There are people who need more lessons, but of course there are also natural talents who can manage with fewer lessons.

When you start your driving lessons, your instructor can often estimate during the first or second driving lesson how many driving lessons you will need. Your instructor will give you some advice but if you don’t agree with the advice you can just say so and the instructor will adjust his lesson schedule to your wishes. However, we do recommend that you listen to the advice of your instructor because it is a shame to take a practical exam when it is already known in advance that there is only a small chance that you will pass. It is better to take some extra lessons and take the practical exam with a high chance of passing. An instructor from Driving School BAAS will never let you take more driving lessons than you actually need, because getting a driver’s license is already expensive enough.
